Open Evening

Open Evening

On Thursday the 23rd of April, the Astronomy Section will host an open evening.

To allow the sky to get dark enough, we will be open from 8:30 to 10:30 pm. This event is free but donations to help with section costs are welcome. We suggest £2 per adult and £1 per child.

We hope to be showing the Moon, Venus and Jupiter, and as the sky gets darker we can find some star clusters, galaxies and nebulae.

Please park at La Houguette School and walk to the observatory ensuring that you are visible to traffic. There will be signs to guide you approximately 100m to Rue du Lorier. See our map for help finding us.

Blue Badge holders are always welcome to use the observatory parking, but please take care manoeuvring amongst people in the darkness.

You can access our risk assessment and guide for visitors.
