## Join us for a special Halloween Open Evening

### Friday 30th October, 6:30 to 8:30pm

The David Le Conte Astronomical Observatory is hosting a joint evening for the Astronomy, Entomology and Bat sections. This event will be weather dependent, so keep an eye on this page for updates.

To help us maintain our equipment and facilities, we welcome contributions and suggest a **donation** of £2 per adult and £1 per child.

### Activities

With suitable weather, the Astronomy Section will be using telescopes to look at Saturn and its moons, and Autumn objects including galaxies, nebulae and star clusters.

The [Bat Section](https://societe.org.gg/wp/bats/) will be running guided bat walks and using heterodyne bat detectors to look for a variety of species in the area.
